Summer Fun

I don't think I am ever going to be caught up on this blog of mine, but I am going to keep trying. I love taking pictures. I am just not very good at scrapbooking them, but I want to make sure I never forget any of the memories. My boys are just growing up so fast anymore. I love it, but it is so hard at the same time.

Here are the pictures from a day we spent last summer with Aunt Christine and her boys and Nana Cindy. We went to the Family Fun Zone.

Here is Cayden running.....
and falling.....
Gavyn sliding

Here are the boys with their cousins.

Curtis came during his lunch break to surprise me. He is so great. He came right in time to play some miniature golf with us.

The boys also got to race cars. I think this was their favorite thing of the day, but golfing was a very close second.

I love how much these cousins love each other. The only one not in the picture is Miley.
Then, the old women got to ride in the racing cars. Cayden snapped some pictures of us while we were racing. I think there were about 30 pictures. He enjoyed being Mr. Camera Man.

and Me
I cannot remember what this contraption was called, but as I am seriously afraid of heights it scared me to death. I clenched the handlebars pretty much the whole time.

Cayden, on the other hand, loved it!

We were spun around and had to hit the bell hanging down. Cayden did great. I think I only hit it one time.

Then, Gage and Thade did it. They were so cute. I couldn't believe those two little boys with absolutely no fear!

Gavyn and Bryce opted for the paddle boats.

Here are Bryce and Gavyn shooting some hoops.

REACH BRYCE, REACH!!!

Then, we went out to lunch. The boys were starving. Gavyn snarfed down his food in about a minute flat.

Then, he laid down on his chair and about fell asleep.

Bryce taking a turn at being Mr. Camera Man. I love how the sun brings out his freckles.

We had so much fun and we went home with very tired, happy little boys.

WOW...times flies!

Here I go again...trying to catch up in the blog world. I have been trying to catch up instead of showing recent pictures. I am not sure if I like this idea, but just maybe it will help me stay committed! I cannot believe we are in 2010 and here I am still blogging in mid 2009. Shoot! Here are some pictures from last summer. They are in order backwards because I was too lazy to fix it, but here they are nonetheness.

On May 21, 2009 Curtis and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. We weren't able to celebrate until the end of July, but it was worth the wait. We went shopping in Utah, out to a movie, and just hung out enjoying each other's company with no kids. Our friend's joined us for the second day. They were so much fun and we were glad they could come. Here we are the gardens at Thanksgiving Point.

It was a great and much needed weekend!

This is Cayden hanging out in the Tahoe. He is a nice traveler.

His brothers on the other hand are quite mischevious. We can't take our eyes off them for too long or you never know what you'll find. Here they are making use of the plastic from their water bottles.

In June every year our family participates in the Relay for Life. We absolutely love this. If anyone wants to know more I would glad to answer any questions. This is definately one of our favorite weekends of the year and I encourage everyone to go at least once.
This is how Gavyn spent the entire time. My dad was over logistics and he was at his side the entire time.

This is part of our team. All my siblings and their spouses are on the team as well as my parents, Curtis' parents, and many friends.

This is our friend Jason walking the survivor lap with his kids.

And here is Curtis walking the survivor lap. I love on the second lap when they ask the caregivers to walk. Cayden, Bryce, and Gavyn jumped out there and walked around with their daddy.

Here is Bryce with me in my booth. I am the accountant for the event so I stayed here the majority of the night taking money and counting away. Luckily, I had three awesome friends helping me out. I with someone would have taken a picture that next morning. Allysse, her kids, and myself were all sound asleep in the booth after a long night's work and play!

This is my kids with the some of their friends. They played their hearts out and then settled down in front of a movie to relax.

This was at Pride Days. Gavyn decided he wanted to rock climb and he did a great job.

Bryce loved this obstacle course. He bounced through it so fast no one could catch up.

Here is Gavyn racing Andrew. They kids all had a great time.

My boys snuggling together on the couch watching a movie. I absolutely love moments like this.

Cayden at Scout Camp

Gavyn ready to golf!
Bryce at the zoo.

We went on a family hike one week for a family home evening and the kids loved it. We just need to find more spots to hike at so if anyone has some fun places please let me know. This was at the pitstop between Blackfoot and IF.

Here's to hoping that I can catch up and keep up with the blogging thing. I think I need to make this my #1 New Year's Resolution.

He's Proud Of Me!

I have been continually reminded lately that I am a horrible blogger and I happen to agree. I do well for a while and post a ton for catch up and then I get busy and it stops. I am going to try to finish my catching up before Christmas so bear with me while I post tons of pictures over the next couple of days.

I don't have my camera with me right now, but I did want to post one memory from this week.

Bryce and Gavyn are currently taking gymnastics classes. Anyone who knows me will know that I absolutely LOVE gymnastics. I continued to take classes after Gavyn was born and my last class I took was a couple of years ago when Curtis was in the middle of his chemotherapy. It was my release and I loved it. I ended up stopping when I went one night and Curtis called me because he was so sick and couldn't help the kids with something. After that I decided my release could wait because I was needed at home.

Anyway, the boys' spotter left on a mission on Wednesday so I started spotting both of their classes this week. Bryce's was on Monday. He has such natural talent! He started doing back handsprings by himself on his third day in class. Miss Paunie was teaching them a new trick and she asked me to demonstrate it for them. It was doing a handstand and then stepping down and going right into a back handspring. With a spot the first time I got up and did it for the class and then I was able to do it on my own. Bryce was so impressed and was telling everyone that I was his mom. After gym class he came up and gave me a big hug and told me he was so proud of me for being able to do the trick and that he loves me so much.

This was the highlight of my week!

Grandma Rumsey

On Friday, September 10, 2009 my Grandma Rumsey passed away. She had just turned 81 a few weeks prior on August 28th. My aunts threw a great big surprise birthday party for her and regrettably we were not able to go, but here are some of pictures from her birthday party last year. Every year grandma gets a picture taken with her daughters. It has been such an awesome tradition and I love looking back at the pictures through the years!

Isn't she so cute! I love Grandma and I will miss her so much. I am grateful for the knowledge that I will get to see her again some day and that she is up in Heaven with my sweet Mayson taking care of him for me.
