He's Proud Of Me!

I have been continually reminded lately that I am a horrible blogger and I happen to agree. I do well for a while and post a ton for catch up and then I get busy and it stops. I am going to try to finish my catching up before Christmas so bear with me while I post tons of pictures over the next couple of days.

I don't have my camera with me right now, but I did want to post one memory from this week.

Bryce and Gavyn are currently taking gymnastics classes. Anyone who knows me will know that I absolutely LOVE gymnastics. I continued to take classes after Gavyn was born and my last class I took was a couple of years ago when Curtis was in the middle of his chemotherapy. It was my release and I loved it. I ended up stopping when I went one night and Curtis called me because he was so sick and couldn't help the kids with something. After that I decided my release could wait because I was needed at home.

Anyway, the boys' spotter left on a mission on Wednesday so I started spotting both of their classes this week. Bryce's was on Monday. He has such natural talent! He started doing back handsprings by himself on his third day in class. Miss Paunie was teaching them a new trick and she asked me to demonstrate it for them. It was doing a handstand and then stepping down and going right into a back handspring. With a spot the first time I got up and did it for the class and then I was able to do it on my own. Bryce was so impressed and was telling everyone that I was his mom. After gym class he came up and gave me a big hug and told me he was so proud of me for being able to do the trick and that he loves me so much.

This was the highlight of my week!

That is so cute - bet that was a great day!

I remember you being quite the gymnast.

This post made my day. I don't know if you remember, but Paunie taught me how to clog. I get to see her from time to time when I'm judging, but haven't seen her for a few years. Glad to know she's still around!!

Wow, I am proud of you, too! Those tricks get harder as you get older. Now I can't do anything.

I am proud of you too! I will admit that when you started telling the story I thought it would end badly! If I tried that, I know it would!

Hey Heidi -

Just wanted to tell you thank you for having a blog roll. I just looked at all of the people on your list that I know. It has been so fun to take a quick peek at their blogs and see everyone all grown up with their own families.

On a funny note, I was going through some of my things a few nights ago and found some letters that you wrote to me when I moved to Utah. It cracked me up because you were always updating me on Branden Wall because I think I had a crush on him. So silly. It was a great laugh. And I still recognize and remember your handwriting.

Have a great Christmas.
