August 2011

We go to Bear Lake every year in August to ski for the week. Cayden decided to try wakeboarding and was able to get up on his second attempt. Bryce won't ski in Bear Lake because he thinks the lake is too big, but me, Curtis, and Grandpa Smith all got in!

Gavyn spent a majority of the time playing in the water and relaxing on the beach.

The kids had a lot of cousins to play with and Ashley made his yearly sand castle.

Here is a picture of a few of the men rescuing one of the boats after a quick storm decided to pass through.

This was the day we got back from Bear Lake. Gavyn lost his first tooth!

Here are Bryce and Gavyn at the Fort Hall Museum.

We have never had a garage sale before, but Gavyn decided that he wanted to do one. He asked me if he could sell some of his stuff and I told him to go for it. After setting it up and realizing that no one drives down our street, he decided to go door to door to see if anyone wanted his toys. He got a couple of neighbor kids to come over and he sold them items for about a quarter each. When he got to my neighbor across the street, the dad told him he did not have any money so Gavyn came home and emptied his piggy bank and went back across the street and offered him money to come over and buy some of his stuff. Gavyn has got such a good heart.

So here are pictures I got from one of Bryce's soccer games.

2011 Summer Sports

When I go watch my kids play sports, I am terrible at taking pictures because I get too involved in the game. I didn't get any pictures of Bryce and Gavyn playing baseball. Here is a picture of Bryce's soccer team.

Bryce is such a good little soccer player. He is so fast that when he gets the ball, no one can catch up to him.

Here we are on the way to one of Cayden's baseball tournaments. Cayden played on a competitive traveling team this year. It was a lot of fun.

Since this was the only game I remembered to take pictures at, I took a ton of them. Cayden is the pitcher. When he is not pitching, he plays short stop or catcher. This was the last game of the day, so his pants are dirty. I am hoping that next year he does not have white pants. They were a pain to clean, but at least the team looked good!

Gavyn and Bryce are such troopers. They can usually be heard cheering for the team. Gavyn was the bat-boy for the season. These pictures were after a full day of baseball and when Gavyn sat down in his chair for more than 2 seconds, he was out cold. However, Bryce made it the whole way through.

The kids ended up placing second in the tournament. This was the Bear Lake Tournament so there were about 20 teams.

Gavyn and Bryce both got a medal too.

Neighborhood Fun

I have said it before, but I will say it again. We live in the BEST neighborhood! The kids always have friends to play with and they all play so well together. Here is some pictures of fun they had over the summer.

BLOWING BUBBLES

Brynlee and Cayden decided to make the kids a treasure map. They hid their bikes at the end of the trails. They made one up for each boy.

These kids will spend every second of the day outside if I let them. I have to lure them in the house with homemade cookies in order to get them out of the sun.
