Cornell boys and Abigail

Okay, I got a new camera for Christmas (nana and pap actually gave it to me before Thanksgiving) and I cannot figure out how to upload the pictures. So, I thought I would blog about some photos from my older camera since that is all I have to work with at the moment. These are very out of order and are pictures from all over the place. So, here goes...

This is Gavyn, just being Gavyn. He's always trying to get people to laugh!

Cayden doing laundry. He loves doing the laundry. Every time the buzzer goes off he is in there instantly.

Gavyn and Bryce are always hanging out together. They will color together for hours!

SANTA BRYCE
SANTA GAVYN

Cayden had his school Christmas program around the second week of December. He did such a great job. He has always been so shy and has had a hard time getting up in front off people. This year, he came out of his shell and I am so proud of him. Actually, he was quite the little entertainer. He had a speaking part during the program and did a great job!

This is a gingerbread man that Bryce made for school. He put ski's on his feet and named him Courderoy. He is so proud of his artwork and tells everyone that he is an artist.

I forgot to take pictures of our Christmas tree this year, but we helped nana and grandpa Smith decorate their tree and I took pictures of the kids over there. Here is Cayden, Gavyn, and then Bryce.

Curtis' birthday is December 30th and he got an early present this year. I do black friday shopping every year and I LOVE IT!!! Curtis woke me up at about 2 a.m. that morning to inform me that he had just sold his stocks and wanted me to pick him up the TV at Wal-Mart from the ad. Apparently, it was too good to pass up and he wanted a bigger TV. Honestly, I just don't get it. We don't even have cable. We have an antena that gives us three channels on a good day, but really all we do is watch movies. I think our TV was big enough, but it was worth it because he was so happy.

This is one of Gavyn's many messes that he makes ten times a day. This one doesn't look so bad, but everything is soaked in white grape juice and apple juice. It was a sticky mess! It started on the counter and went all over the floor in my kitchen. I washed all the crayons and told him to clean the floor...

This is how he clean's the floor. He thinks if I can't see it I won't know its there. We always know when Gavyn has spilled something because he has tons of towels on the floor trying to cover it up. I usually end up leaving the room so he doesn't see me smiling! He is pretty cute though!

Here is Gavyn's cheese mess. I actually had already picked up most of it. My kids love cheese and are always wanting some. Sometimes Gavyn will pull it out himself and cut it himself. I caught this one early so the cheese was not too mutilated.

This is my niece Abigail. She is Tyler and Desi's little girl and she is the sweetest little thing! I started watching her in December and I love it. This was the first day we had her and I was trying sooo hard to get a smile caught on camera.

She has an admirer! My boys absolutely love her.

Ha, I caught a little one!

Isn't she adorable! I love watching her. She is the happiest little baby and is always smiling!

Christmas Traditions

I love Christmas and I love our Christmas traditions. One of my favorite is that every year me, my mom, and my sisters get together and make Christmas treats. This year it ended up just being me and my mom, but we had a blast. I love baking and I love test tasting everything when we get done. The things we made were English toffee, peppermint bark, cinnamon hard candy, peppermint fudge, marble fudge, cake bites, cake pops, cupcake reindeer, snowman pretzels, and chex mix. Here are the pictures.....

I hope you all have fun with your Christmas traditions. Anyone have a fun tradition that you want to share?

Catch up and Cayden

Last week was a great week. I have wanted to post pictures of everything that went on, but I got a new camera and I cannot figure out how to get it to download. I have been waiting and waiting, but I decided I would just start without those pictures and I will add them later.

November 26 was Cayden's 8th birthday. This was the first year Cayden had a friend birthday party (I only let them have them on 8, 12, and 16.) He had 9 friends come and they all went to the swimming pool. He had a great party and he has gotten a great group of friends. I will post some pics later.

November 27 was Thanksgiving. We had it here at the church with some of my mom's family - more to come on that when there are pics.

November 28 - BLACK FRIDAY. I LOVE BLACK FRIDAY!!!! Me, my mom, and Jen left at 4 a.m. to start the shopping at Walmart. I got Curtis a new TV because he woke me up a 2 a.m. saying he had checked his stocks and they were actually up, so he sold them to afford a TV. Apparently, the Walmart sale was too good to pass up - spoiled man! Good thing I love him so. Then we headed up to IF for some great deals. We got home about 4:30 p.m. Yep, that's right - 12 hours of shopping! I was exhausted, yet satisfied.

November 29 was Cayden's baptism. I will post more on this when I get the pictures.

CAYDEN JAMES CORNELL - here is a little get-to-know-you about Cayden...

I wanted to put on some pictures of Cayden. Cayden was born November 26, the first of four boys. He has been a joy from the beginning. Cayden is the nicest kid. He helps around the house without being asked, he is always helping out his brothers, and he is always just plain happy. Cayden has a stubborn streak that I hope one day will serve him well. He has his own little sense of style and he loves clothes. In fact, if I give him a choice between a shirt and a candybar he will choose the shirt everytime.

Cayden is a very softhearted boy and is always aware of people's feelings around him. Usually if his brothers get in trouble and are crying he is crying too because he can't stand seeing his brothers upset. Cayden is also my little mediator. He is always trying to get his brothers to get along and he is very good at distracting them. And, of course, for all of you who know him, he is MR. NEGOTIATOR!!! Cayden always negotiates even the simplest of things. I think he is going to be a lawyer some day because he somehow is always able to get things the way he wants it through his skills.

Cayden loves to cook and is always in the kitchen offering to help. He also enjoys a good game of guitar hero.

Cayden has always been a snuggler and he is my only child who will still let me snuggle him. I love that about him because I know it will be all too soon before he won't let me snuggle him anymore. He also is a clean kid. He like his room to be tidy and always has clothes set out for the next day. He likes to be organized and prepared.

Cayden loves to play sports and he is amazingly good at them. He loves all sports and he loves playing with his dad, grandpa's, and cousins. He loves school and excels in that as well. His favorite subject is math and he is constantly having me make him practice math sheets.

Cayden absolutely adores his dad. He loves to work with his day, play with his dad, and go shopping with his dad. Cayden looks up to him in every way and I hope he ends up being just like him. Cayden also loves his family!

Cayden is very in tune with the spirit and he loves the gospel. About a month ago Cayden and I went together to visit Mayson's grave. We always sit on the grass and talk to Mayson and about him. Cayden made a comment to me that sometimes he feels like Mayson is sitting right beside him when we visit the grave. I told him he was absolutely right - Mayson is always with us. Cayden has made comments such as these since he was just tiny. I love that he has such faith!

Cayden is my best friend and I love him so much. He makes me proud every day to be his mother. I am so excited that he decided to get baptized and I am grateful for the example he sets for his younger brothers. Cayden - I love you!

Here are some extremely random pictures of Cayden. I don't have a baby pic of him because my scanner is not set up and that was before I downloaded all of my pics onto the computer. Bummer!
